Because I think you guys are all great, I've got not one, not two, but three (three!) pieces of kick-ass movie news for you to get excited about.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson talked about the future output of the studio and what he has to say is definitely worth reading. First up is Fifty Shades of Grey and a possible release date for the movie, with Fogelman announcing, "It's conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer."

Can we rename 2014 "The Summer of (Kinky) Love", then?

Next up is Van Helsing, and the possibility of the movie getting a reboot. Fogelson revealed:

We are looking at rebooting Van Helsing because I think the idea for the Van Helsing story was a great way of solving the question of, "How do you make a blockbuster out of monsters?"

I have a tip for you Mr Fogelson: Less CGI monsters and more practical effects please. Call me old fashioned, but the sight of computer-generated beasties on screen doesn't really do it for me. Universal Pictures built its legacy on creating creepy creatures, so let's keep it old school and try and recapture the atmosphere of their original monster movies.

Finally, no interview with Universal is complete without the requisite Bourne 5 question and the will he/won't he return of Matt Damon. While it does look like we'll get another installment of the Bourne franchise, it's less likely that we'll see Damon return, with Fogelson admitting:

I absolutely see us doing more Bourne, 100 percent yes. Matt has talked about the possibility of coming back, and we totally respect that and are excited if and when he wants to have conversations. But I think the last movie gave us a big bunch of options to pursue a next chapter.

More Bourne can only be a good thing. Despite the less than stellar reviews of Legacy, I though that did a decent job, despite being hampered by a hokey script that made Aaron Cross seem like a drug addict running around looking for his next hit.

Did you guys enjoy the three pieces of movie news I brought you? Which of these movies are you most excited about? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
