fans have been swooning over her for 75 years, so it was about time that got her big screen adaptation. While provided a fantastic look of her interpretation of the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, she obviously deserves a proper introduction with the eponymous Wonder Woman.

We haven't seen much of the 's next installment yet, but with the release date approaching — Wonder Woman is coming to theaters June 2 — you can rest assured there'll be more TV spots and trailers on YouTube than Amazons on the island of Themyscira.

As usual, Diana kicks ass. It was her decision to leave Themyscira and the Amazons behind, so it's no surprise that she doesn't shy away from anything, showing the rest of the factions involved in the war the true definition of courage. But we know that while she starts out as a slightly naive and positive warrior, her enthusiasm wanes.

As the number of press screenings increases, we've been learning more and more about the plot of Wonder Woman, which is framed by her scenes in the present day — linking her origin story to Diana as we already know her in the DCEU. The central element is obviously World War I, and how the conflict shaped Diana's perception of humanity.
