The battle of the Hercules adaptations is set to take place next year, and it's crunch time for the Hercules. Why so? The rival The Legend of Hercules adaptation has stolen a march on the version, opening up 5 months earlier in March, so the onus is on Ratner, The Rock and crew to keep the public interested. And that's what they're doing, with The Rock himself tweeting photo's from the set.
Dwayne Johnson tweeted a photo of (Headhunters) on the shoot (shown above). He said:
plays Tydeus, described as “a warrior devoted to Hercules who wields twin axes and is such a madman that he needs to be chained up at night when he sleeps.” Given Tydeus' warrior instincts, Hennie is definitely wise to get going on those press-ups. After 12 hours of shooting though (and at the ungodly hour of 6am to boot!), I'm impressed. In fact, this sounds like a GRUELLING shoot. Who told you Hollywood stars have it easy?
Is it Hercules or The Legend of Hercules that is holding your attention? Is it or that will portray the definitive club-wielding brute of Greek mythos? Or would you rather Hollywood would stop doubling up a'la this and Snow White?
