For months now, every time we've written about the new cyber-thriller at Moviepilot, that's exactly what we've called it, for lack of a better term: The new Michael Mann cyber-thriller, because, well, we had no other title for it.

But we can breathe a sigh of relief, because the project has now officially gotten itself a title. Ready for it? Drumroll...

Blackhat.

Okay, so, maybe not the most original or catchy of titles. Still, it's an official title, so that's something.

Not much is known about the movie, other than that it will apparently involve American and Chinese forces teaming up together to stop a high-level cyberterrorist ring.

has already been cast in the lead role, with a handful of prominent Chinese actors being tossed around for roles in the film. Mann and his team were busy in Hong Kong, scouting locations for filming last month, so we can expect shooting to begin fairly soon.
