Everything the Coen Brothers touches turns to gold. I think we can all agree on that by now, right? and have a knack for storytelling that seems to come as effortlessly to them as it seemed to the singer-songwriters of decades past.

It's fitting, then, that their upcoming Inside Llewyn Davis takes place in the '60s folk scene, with doing a phenomenal job as the titular Llewyn Davis, a down on his luck folk singer who is desperately struggling to make it big, even as he contends with a fractured relationship with his ex-girlfriend (the always brilliant ).

Another trailer has been released that captures the trademark feel of a Coen Brothers movie: Not quite of this time, gloomy humor, understated, beautiful cinematography.

Inside Llewyn Davis also stars a fantastic , , , and . It opens in theaters on December 6.
