The Vampire Diaries fans, stop what you are doing a pay attention: I have five fang-tastic spoilers for you to sink your teeth into concerning some pretty big plot points for the upcoming Season 5. Show creator took questions during a panel discussion at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, revealing some juicy spoilers in the process. (Thanks to Hollywoodlife for the transcript:)

First up, Plec talked about Damon and Elena's "New Relationship", explaining that the couple will "try to make it work" although they will be affected by the “villain in their midst they don’t know is a villain at the beginning."

On the mystery of Stefan and Silas Plec admitted, "[There will be] a pretty cool mythology that will carry on in terms of Silas, and the mystery of his past — 1,000 or 2,000 years ago." Intriguing.

What about the whole Hayley having Klaus's baby thing? Plec had this to say:

Hayley is, by no means, the Cinderella in the Klaus love story. Hayley is a girl who’s pretty tough, fiery, independent … a survivor in her own right who got drunk, had sex and got knocked up. She’s going to have her own journey. She’s not really meant to be a threat to Klaus’ love life.

When she was asked how Katherine was going to cope now that's she a human Plec joked, "we were just in the room the other day talking about the first time she catches a cold — just how freakin’ pissed she’s going to be about that." Hopefully Katherine has got a box of DayQuill to hand.

Finally Plec mentioned how it's going to be tough for a born-again Jeremy Gilbert to explain his return, "What the hell cover story is that going to be. How's he going to explain that? He had a memorial service! There were flyers!"

We'll have to wait for the The Vampire Diaries Season 5 premiere this fall to get all the answers.
