When, oh when, will the fourth season of The Walking Dead finally caress my telly box with its sweet entrails? Tell me, AMC! October 13th 2013, you say? That is unacceptable, I'm afraid.
Fortunately, the nice folks at FEARnet have provided us with this delightful selection of interviews with the Walking Dead cast.
There are some interesting little snippets here, and I love the way the actors are so into their characters. (Daryl) gives a nice insight that 'Rick is like the brother Daryl never had,' as well as promising that the new season will be 'bigger, faster and meaner.' (The Governor) - a disarmingly nice chap when not playing a despotic, delusional maniac - deems his character as 'psychopathic,' and describes the Season 3 finale as 'leav[ing] them in a pretty heavy place.'
Despite the emphasis on strong horror as the group battle their harsh new reality, (Rick) describes his battle-weary Sheriff as 'trying to come back to the man he once was.' In fact, (Maggie) gives the best tease of all, adding that Season 4 has a 'consistent hopefulness' to it - though given the events of the previous episodes, this does not guarantee rainbows and fluffy bunnies any time soon.
You guys, really, I am so excited about the new season! How are you coping with the wait and what are you patching your addiction with in the interim? Roll on October; until then, I am the Walking Obsessed.
