With exactly a month to go until The Walking Dead returns to screens to reveal the character Negan brutally murderer, AMC have released a a multitude of character portraits, and they are certainly chilling.
Spreading the image release out over websites such as Comicbook, Variety and EW, AMC have produced multiple portraits for each character to each relay different emotions. All characters have a staunch black and white image, showing the characters in confident and capable poses, but by comparison each also has a blood-red close up of their face, showing the characters stripped raw, their emotions easy to read. Most also have a spliced image, indicating how their life hangs in the balance.
Interestingly, only nine characters out of the 11 in Negan's line up have had portraits released by AMC, with Abraham and Rosita curiously absent. And given that Abraham is a hot favorite for many fans to be Negan's victim, leaving him out of the portrait line up could be seen as a red herring. Take a look at the images below:
Glenn is one of the hot picks to die at the hands of Negan, and that look of terror in his eyes seems to indicate he knows he's not safe.
The leader of the group always wears a big target on their chest, and after leading the charge on taking out a huge group of Saviors, there's no doubt Rick and Negan are mortal enemies.
She's pregnant, ill and incredibly vulnerable, will Negan see that as a reason to kill her or spare her?
Sasha's gone through a transformation in Season 6, but will we see her come out of her interaction with Negan unscathed?

Not many people suspect that Negan will kill Carl, but given that he already murdered one 16-year-old boy at the Hilltop, there's no telling what this murderous bastard will do.
Carol's inclusion in the portrait lineup is interesting given that she's not in Negan's lineup, but given that she was shot at the end of Season 6, and seems to be very mentally unwell, there's certainly a chance our favorite apocalypse badass might be at the end of her journey.
Daryl has already made a big enemy in Dwight, which means he's definitely a big contender for the Lucille victim.
He's still relatively new to the show, but Aaron instantly made fans when he saw the good in the group and brought them to Alexandria. Now he faces death, will he make it?
Negan already cut off one of Michonne's dreadlocks to leave as a warning to Rick and the group in the finale, but could the crazed psychopath go one step further and kill her?
Tara is another character not in Negan's line up, though if her appearance in the Season 7 trailer is any indication, she's certainly far from safety.
Dwight is the only one of Negan's men to get his own portraits, and he's also had a surprising amount of screen time in the promos we've seen to date. Even though Dwight seems to be backing Negan, these portraits seem to hint that his life is not as safe as we think.
After coming into the series lying his pants off to survive, Eugene has really proved himself in Season 6. But will the man with the Tennessee top hat live to see his dream of a bullet factory realized?
Watch The Walking Dead when it returns to AMC on October 23.
