The Walking Dead Season 6 finale may be pretty hard to top in terms of tragedy, but it looks like the Season 7 finale may just give it a run for its money. Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, says fans are "certainly in for a whole lot of emotion"— and that definitely doesn't sound good.
Cohan described the upcoming finale to Harper's Bazaar as ambiguously as she could, promising it would be "incredibly bittersweet, beautiful, and heartbreaking." Considering the high emotions that have been running since the Season 7 premiere, it sounds like we may be losing a fan-favorite— perhaps even someone close to Maggie. But who could it be?

Maggie's History Of Heartbreak
In the zombie apocalypse, no one gets an easy ride. Even as idyllic as The Kingdom is, those amputee children are evidence of darker times. One day you're harvesting melons, and the next you or someone you love is getting turned into a walker.
There's no denying that nobody knows loss better than Maggie. First she watched as her father was beheaded right in front of her. Then she went to pick up her long-lost sister, only to find out she'd been shot just moments before. And then, after losing all of her blood relatives, she was forced to watch, helpless, as her beloved husband and the father of her unborn child had his head caved in with a sexualized baseball bat.
Neither Maggie, nor #TheWalkingDead's viewers, have been the same since Beth's death in Season 5. Sure, Maggie's soldiering on with the rest of us after Glenn's recent execution, but could she handle yet another loss in her life? More importantly, could we?
Who Will Die On 'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Finale?
Cohan's recent comments suggest she'll still be around for Season 8, so we know that she's safe. But who else could we lose?
It's hard to guess from Cohen's vague description, though "heartbreaking" would suggest she's probably not referring to the likes of Gregory or even Jadis— after all, they're hardly lovable characters.
The show writers might be getting rid of someone from one of the three main communities: The Kingdom, Hilltop and Alexandria. Michonne's cute couple antics with Rick might have put her in the firing line; Rosita, Sasha and Eugene have been tempting fate with their involvement with the Saviors; and we all know the likelihood of Gabriel surviving a shoot-out is pretty damn low.
Or perhaps it'll be someone completely unexpected. Chandler Riggs just got another college acceptance letter— could tis be the end for young Carl Grimes?
However, if they're really trying to outdo themselves after Season 6, they might just do the unspeakable and have Maggie lose the baby. Yes, it's utterly devastating to even think about. But at this point, do you really think The Walking Dead is above that?
What do you think will happen during The Walking Dead Season 7 finale to make it so "heartbreaking"?
