With summer almost over and fall flying toward us like redneck on a motorcycle, there is only one thing on many of our minds. School? Nope. Halloween? Try again. The brilliant colors of red, orange and yellow painting the trees as autumn arriv—okay shut up, writer guy. Season 8 of The Walking Dead is coming!

We have the All Out War storyline between Negan, his Saviors, and the rest of the planet heading our way. There will be more death, more walkers, and more swagger, courtesy of Negan. And for fans of the newest group, The Heapsters, there will be more of that wicked woman of few words, Jadis.

My lucky self was able to attend the Tulsa Walker Stalker Convention earlier this month, and I ran into , who plays Jadis, before the crowds of walker stalkers came rolling in. Naturally, I had to seize the opportunity to ask her about that juicy rumor that suggests she might become the leader of The Whisperers, the walker skin-wearing army from the comics. Lucky for me, along with her being one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet, McIntosh was more than enthusiastic about it.

The good news from ?

In our far-too-brief encounter, McIntosh said she would love to play Alpha. Those who have read the Walking Dead comics know that Alpha is bald. Turns out, McIntosh would have no qualms shaving her head for the role, explaining that it's for , after all.

I would say that takes a huge amount of dedication (and it does), but admit it: What fan wouldn't shave their head for a chance to appear on the show? Or, in McIntosh's case, to continue appearing on the show?

But, like always, with the good news comes the bad.

Unfortunately, her boss has squashed the rumor and our hearts. McIntosh let me know that straight-up told her that no, she won't go on to be the leader of The Whisperers, much to my disappointment.

But, you know, to borrow her words, this is The Walking Dead, and if one thing is for certain, it's that nothing is for certain. At least, that's what I'll keep telling myself, right up until Rick feeds Jadis to the walkers in retaliation for the nasty double-cross in Season 7.

Jadis and The Walking Dead returns with Season 8 this October!
