Last week's episode of The Walking Dead, "I Ain't a Judas," might have lacked the explosive awesomeness that we've become used to over the past few weeks, but it was a solid episode that slowly moved the characters into place for the coming war between the people of Woodbury and the guys at the prison. Check out my recap if you haven't done so already, which like the episode itself is a solid if not spectacular piece of work. For the rest of us, it's now time to put on our speculation hats (I really own one and it looks cool as f!%k) and take a look at what could go down next week in Episode 12, "Clear".
Carl is the man
He's probably the best shot out of everyone over at the prison, he held the group together when Rick had his meltdown and he wears a Sheriff's hat. He's also been trusted to come along on the gun run. Oh, and he shot his own mother in the face, which is pretty bad-ass. Carl is the leader-in-waiting and it's only a matter of time until he starts to become even more influential. The gun run is going to throw up all sorts of dangers and I think Carl is going to prove to his dad that he's not a kid anymore.
Milton stops being such a p**sy
Milton is a scientist who's struggling to adapt to the cruelty of this new world and is frankly a bit of a coward. I want to see him man up and get back in the lab and do experiments on the undead, because otherwise he doesn't really offer very much. Next episode, let's have him conduct some weird zombie experiments, like sewing a walkers head to a dog and making it chase its own tail, or seeing if the undead can get through one episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians without them trying to eat themselves.
Michonne fulfills her potential
Having won the trust of Rick, I want to see Michonne have a more kick-ass role in the group, starting with next week's gun run. Hopefully, they encounter lots of walkers so she can go to town on them with her trusty katana.
A fan favorite returns
Here's the big one. Back in December, series creator Robert Kirkman revealed to TV Line that next week's episode is one to watch out for, saying, "I think Episode 12 is going to be something special. All [eight episodes] are pretty great, but be on the lookout for that one." What could be so special about it? After doing some digging I found some on-set stills for the next episode that suggest Morgan, the dude that saved Rick in the very first episode of the show, was going to return. That would be so sweet if it comes true.
Next week I want to see Carl take control, Michonne to hack off limbs, Milton to do more science and Morgan to come back. That's not so much to ask for, is it?
