As the semi-famous Scottish-born Australia philosopher John Paul Young once sang, "Love is in the air everywhere I look around." I'm sure he didn't have The Walking Dead in mind when penned this pop classic, but it would be an apt choice of song for the zombie apocalypse drama considering all the canoodling that's been going on in the new season. Glenn and Maggie are still going strong, Tyreese serenaded Karen with his own little ditty before she was literally set on fire and Beth got some sweet loving from Zach before he shuffled off this mortal coil.

But there's one more love affair that could be about to blossom before our very eyes.

Rick and Michonne.

Think about it for it second. The two of them have engaged in some flirting over the past couple of weeks, throwing each other furtive glances like a couple of teens sat on a school bus. There's clearly some chemistry between the two of them, but if you ignore the the emotional aspects for a second, a partnership between them also makes practical sense. They are clearly the most badass zombie killers at the prison (Daryl excluded obviously), so joining forces just makes sense. It would take a hell of lot to defeat Team Rickonne (I literally just made that up), and it would dramatically increase Judith's chances of ling-term survival.

Carl is also a big fan of hers, so there would be none of this awkward "getting to know the kids" phase that parents have to go through when they start dating again.

Need more evidence that love might blossom between Rick and Michonne? Here's what Andrew Lincoln had to say when Katie Couric quizzed him about a potential romance between the characters:

We have a romance this season.

Awkward pause....

I was just joking.
