Will Rosita ever learn her lesson? Apparently not! She's utilizing her unbridled rage and teaming up with her frenemy Sasha to once again attempt to put a bullet in Negan's skull— because the second time's always the charm, right?
Despite her failed first attempt at one-bullet revenge, Rosita is determined to put an end to Negan's reign of terror on The Walking Dead. However, there's one condition: Sasha gets to "take the shot".
So far she's got the murder weapon, an accomplice, and a memorized description of the Sanctuary— as well as the map Jesus made for Sasha. It's a suicide mission, but they're both willing to do what it takes to get revenge for Abraham and Glenn. But as sure as their plan is, there's no telling what might transpire.
What Could Happen?
Things don't always go to plan on #TheWalkingDead, especially when it comes to murdering Saviors. Just look at what happened with Rosita's first attempt, or Carl's visit to the Sanctuary, or even the slaughter at the first Savior outpost.
There's guaranteed to be bloodshed— but whose blood? Let's take a look at the possibilities:
- 'The Walking Dead': Where Is Sherry Now?
- Rosita The Bomb Defuser: Where Did Rosita Get Her Explosives Knowledge On 'The Walking Dead'?
- 'The Walking Dead': Is Rosita Trying To Get Herself Killed Out Of Survivor's Guilt?
Negan Gets A Taste Of His Own Medicine
There's nothing fans would love more than to see Negan get taken out once and for all. In fact, it would actually be quite the unexpected twist if Rosita and Sasha just went in, sniped him, and bailed without a scratch. No "All Out War", no tragic deaths; just a simple and successful mission. At this point, anything is possible.
Eugene Rescue Mission
Underneath Rosita's bubbling cauldron of rage is another unpleasant emotion: guilt. It's largely her fault for manipulating Eugene into taking part in the worst assassination attempt ever, resulting in him being taken from Alexandria and put to work at the Sanctuary.
Rosita might have a second agenda — to rescue Eugene — but she's not fully aware of what's been going on with him. He's pretty content living the good life with his pickle jar, classic video games and Gremblygunk. Wether he's accepted his cushy new lifestyle or is secretly plotting his own Negan assassination attempt is uncertain; however, he might not be ready to return to Alexandria just yet.
The questions is: how will hot-headed Rosita react when she sees Eugene living it up in the Sanctuary?
Sasha Gets Killed— By Rosita
Sasha thinks she's helping Rosita to kill the man who murdered her boyfriend, but what if she's really being led to her death? Rosita is only getting angrier and more impulsive by the day, and there's really no telling who she'll target next. She may not have forgiven Sasha for hooking up with Abraham, and maybe the romance affected her more than she's let on.
Alternatively, Sasha's story may sync up with that of comic book character Holly, which means we may see Sasha zombified. In the comics, Holly is killed during an attempt on Negan's life. The Saviors return her to Rick, but in a slightly less alive state than normal.
Don't forget, Sonequa Martin-Green has landed a huge role on Star Trek, which could mean an end to her Walking Dead days.
Rosita Finally Dies
Things aren't looking good for Rosita. She's constantly pissed off, scowls at everyone and everything, and makes one stupid mistake after another. Sure, she just lost someone very close to her; but it really seems like her character is being prepped to say goodbye. And with the recent announcement of Christian Serratos' pregnancy, she may just big farewell to her Walking Dead family to focus on parenting.
The writers have definitely done a great job of making her character very unlikeable— could she really bounce back from that?
Double Suicide Mission
Sasha and Rosita are certain they're not getting out of the Sanctuary alive, and they might just be right. It's hard to imagine anyone except Jesus who'd be able to infiltrate that fortress and escape unscathed, let alone get close enough to Negan to get the job done. Is this really what Abraham would have wanted?
