Ahead of The Walking Dead Season 4 premiere, AMC has allowed members of the press to watch the first two episodes of the new season and then write good things about them. However, like the uncool kid at school, Moviepilot wasn't invited to this undead jamboree (curse you AMC, we don't need you. Unless you invite us to the next screening. In which case, let's be best friends!) but luckily for us were cool enough to get an invite and have written a spoiler-free review of Episode 2, "Infected."

While Episode 1 set the scene for the coming season, "Infected" was a shot of pure, undead adrenaline that saw the walkers become much more of an unmanageable problem. I won't say much more that, other than Episode 2 also sees the introduction of an unknown internal threat that could have massive repercussions for the fate of the community at the prison.

It's going to be intense.

The Walking Dead premieres October 13th on AMC.
