With Season 7 of The Walking Dead coming closer and closer, AMC are pumping out more TV promos and spots than ever before, all of which include our new favorite villain, Negan.
The latest TV spot for the series was released during the broadcast of companion series, Fear the Walking Dead, and contains a bunch of footage from the trailer as well as a some new stuff all spliced together in a quick 30-second promo. Take a look at the footage below:
As mentioned, most of the footage is stuff we already caught a glance of in the Season 7 trailer which premiered at Comic Con, however there was a quick snippet of some relatively new footage, let's take a closer look:
Note: Sorry about the potato quality of some of these images, we can only work with what we've been given!
Negan and Lucille
At the very beginning when Negan appears to be inside his compound, with Lucille slung over his shoulder. Meanwhile, we Negan as a voice over say "there are rules, you earn what you take," while this isn't a new piece of audio, I did think it was worth focusing on. Personally, I'm of the opinion that this from a scene when he's talking to his Saviors. Negan is a guy who forces his followers to live by some pretty strict rules, and it sounds like he's laying down the law in regards to taking supplies from other communities here.
Negan and Lucille take two!
We also got a second look at some relatively new footage where Negan playfully twirling Lucille around. We had previously seen this in another TV spot shown on AMC last week, but as it's relatively new, it's worth checking out again!
Morgan holding a gun!
After spending most of Season 6 as a pacifist, Morgan was finally forced to kill another human at the end of the season in order to save Carol's life. Now it looks as though he's accepted that he may need a gun for safety given this new footage of his wielding a gun next to a woman kitted out with a bow and arrow (probably a member of the the Kingdom).
Dwight wrestling with a walker
Interesting we also got some new Dwight footage, and it looks as though it fits perfectly in with an earlier sneak peek of the premiere we got a few weeks back, which you can take a look at here.
Sadly for you crazy fan theorists, it's definitely not Abraham in this clip, the give away being overpass supports in the background, which perfectly match the ones shown in the Dwight sneak peek a few weeks back. Not to mention that it's not facial hair on his chin - it's just Dwight's long hair getting in the way!
Negan comes out firing
Just when you thought maybe Negan would be favoring Lucille the entire time, BAM, he comes out firing. This doesn't look good, and we better hope he's only shooting at walkers.
But the truly haunting part of the promo? That has to be when Negan tells someone "things have changed, whatever you had going for you - that's over," shortly followed by "the thing is I am everywhere."
Damn, Rick and the gang may have truly met their match this time.
You can watch The Walking Dead when it returns on October 23 at 9pm ET on AMC.
