Another season of The Walking Dead is officially in the books. Unlike last season's cliffhanger implying death for a major character, fans were left pretty satisfied with the tease of war against Negan and the Saviors. We can't wait until the show returns for its 100th episode in October.

The season as a whole was a bit of a rollercoaster, so let's take a look back and hand out some yearbook-style superlatives:

Biggest Comeback — Carol

Carol is back in business! It was hard to believe that she would sit back and live alone while her friends were being slaughtered by the Saviors. Once she figured out the truth, there was no denying that she would be willing to fight.

Biggest Disappointment — Eugene

All it took to win Eugene over was a barrel of pickles and a gremblygunk. Okay, maybe it was also the comfort and security given by the Sanctuary, but come on man, you are betraying the friends who have risked their lives to protect you. What would Abraham think?

Best Couple — Richonne

There are not many surviving couples on the show these days, but these two sure reign as power couple. Rick and Michonne have strong qualities but they certainly complement each other. Who else could be cuter sharing a bag of chili and mac-and-cheese over candlelight?

Most Improved — Father Gabriel

For a long time I wondered why the show kept Father Gabriel around, as his character seemed to have no purpose, except for maybe babysitting Judith. His character finally caught up in terms of fighting for future safety.

Biggest Game-Changer — Sasha

As Abraham explained to Sasha in the flashback, when you kick it, you need to make it count — and she surely did so. Carrying out her plan to use Eugene's death pill and attacking Negan as a walker served as a distraction for Alexandria to fight off the Saviors. Her death is sad, but in the end she still helped her friends in a meaningful way.

Most Impactful Death — Glenn

Glenn's death wasn't a surprise to fans of the comics, but it sure did not make it any easier to watch. The character with the biggest heart and grip on humanity was killed in one of the most brutal scenes in history. His death not only crushed Maggie, Daryl, and Rick, but each person he encountered.

Biggest Attitude — Rosita

Rosita was always on the feisty side, but after Abraham's death, her attitude level hit an all-time high. Everyone deals with grief differently and it was evident how Rosita dealt with it. Her interactions may have caused more distance among her friends, but it did cause her to make some risky actions, including multiple assassination attempts on Negan. In the end it also resulted in opening up to Sasha about her past.

Best Squadgoals — King Ezekiel And Shiva...

Who would not want a smooth-talking man with a pet tiger on their side? As the leader of the Kingdom, Ezekiel has a unique way in how he protects his people — but like Rick, he wants to keep everyone safe. And let's not forget his battleaxe-wielding, cobbler-loving friend:

Best Hair — Jesus

While most characters look like they struggle to stay clean during the apocalypse, Jesus always looks fresh. Especially with that beautiful head of hair he has going on. Seriously, what kind of hair products is he using? Please note that Eugene came in a close second for obvious reasons.

Most Charismatic — Negan

I understand that Negan is the sadistic villain, using gruesome punishment to inflict fear, but that man oozes charisma. His dialogue and mannerisms make it a little difficult to hate the guy, even if he does kill off some of our favorite characters. Let's give him "Most Likely To Be Eaten By A Tiger" too, now that Shiva has his scent!

Most Fearless — Carl

We watched Carl grow throughout this series, but it wasn't until this season that I realized how fearless he has become. Maybe it was because he grew up in this bleak world, watching his friends and family get killed, but he knows when to hide fear. Whether it is during Negan's lineup (multiple times), threatening to get his arm chopped off, or breaking into the Sanctuary, this kid is cool as a cucumber.

Best Bromance — Daryl And Rick

I can't decide which nickname is better, Ricyl or Darick? Either way, Rick and Daryl have the most meaningful bromance on the show. They have had multiple heart-to-heart conversations revealing how they think of each other as brothers. They have each other's backs, so their mid-season reunion made it that much sweeter.

Most Likely To Become President — Maggie

In a short span of time, Maggie lost Hershel, Beth and Glenn (among others). Add in a pregnancy and you would think she would need time to heal her spirits — but she's a fighter. She is hellbent on taking down the Saviors but in doing so, she knows Hilltop needs a leader they can learn from and depend on. Whether Maggie realizes it yet or not, she has become that leader with her fierce persona and trustworthy qualities. I can see bigger things for her in the future if society were to get back on track.

Most Clutch — Tara

There is no use fighting the Saviors without weapons, and thanks to Tara, the Alexandrians found their supply to work with. It may have taken her a little while due to her promise to Oceanside, but it was Tara's clutch decision to disclose the info that gave them a chance.

Best Dressed — Rick (In Denim)

Anyone who watches this series knows that Rick has an endless supply of button-down shirts, but that man sure loves his denim!

Coolest Walker — Winston

There have been a number of memorable walkers, but there was nothing cooler than Winston. You may remember him as the knife and spear walker in the trash heap that Rick had to fight in order to gain Jadis and the garbage people's trust. Or so he thought.

Best Walker Kill — Rick And Michonne's Car Stunt

The car slicing scene carried out by Rick and Michonne will go down as one of the coolest scenes in the show's history. It was also the biggest stunt that the show has pulled off...so far.

Best Use Of CGI — Anything But The Deer

I know many of us still cannot get over that awful CGI deer. I am sure that a lot of the budget went to Shiva, but how did they pass this through the final cut?

There you have it, Walking Dead fans! Now which superlatives would you give out this past season?
