It's been quite a season for The Walking Dead. The hit AMC series returned to screens for it eighth season several weeks back, and the action has been pretty non-stop compared to the previous season. So far we've seen Gabriel being taken hostage by Negan in a trailer surrounded by walkers, Eric's untimely demise and the return of Morales. Not bad considering we're only four episodes in.

Sunday's episode took the war against Negan to new heights for some people and delivered quite a few jaw-dropping moments along the way. Before we get too excited for what's to come in next week's installment of , let's take a look back at the biggest scenes from "Some Guy."

1. Daniel's Death

After last week's shocking episode saw King Ezekiel and his men attacked, we were dying to know the outcome of the horrific event. It didn't take too long before we saw the result of the shooting and unfortunately almost everyone of the Kingdom's nameless soldiers were caught in the crossfire. Thankfully, Ezekiel emerged from the pile of bodies, however he was not unscathed — he had been shot in the leg.

As the King checked all of the bodies, he stumbled upon his fellow soldier Daniel, who was killed in action. Before long, all of the Kingdom's fallen men and women began to reanimate, including Daniel. He might not have had many lines in his two season run, but Daniel was an important part of the Kingdom and we're really going to miss him.

2. Carol Shoots Everyone

Carol was unaware of the disaster going on outside and continued her mission, infiltrating one of Savior outposts in the hope of acquiring weapons. Once she was inside, she hid from sight as several Saviors carried trays of weapons towards the door, getting them ready for transportation. However, the men were all instantly shot dead during a conversation and, before long, it was revealed that Carol, who had been hiding in the ceiling (because that's what Carol does), had killed them. Eight seasons later and Carol is still a badass. Shout out to Melissa McBride for her incredible performance in this episode.

3. Carol Is Cornered

Hoping to stop the weapons from being transported, Carol found herself in a gunfight with several of the Saviors. She hid behind a vehicle, taking fire, and attempted to shoot at the men who were shooting at her. It was a very uncomfortable situation for us because we were afraid we were going to lose Carol — and that would've just been too much. Thankfully, Carol came up with a crazy plan to play the defenseless woman and it worked (darn she's good). After a moment, she turned the tables and took a hostage. When that plan backfired, she opened the gate so that a herd of walkers could enter and kill her enemies. Is there anything she can't do?

4. Rick and Daryl Get The Guns

I think we'd all accepted that this episode was primarily focusing on the folks of The Kingdom, which is why we were a bit shocked when Daryl and Rick showed up. As the Saviors used the walker distraction to speed off with the weapons in tow, Rick and Daryl headed out in pursuit of the truck, hoping to acquire the weapons for themselves.

The angry Savior attempted to swerve his vehicle in every direction and he even managed to knock Daryl off his motorcycle at one point (not cool). Eventually our protagonist Rick Grimes caught up to the bearded man and took control of his vehicle, forcing him to speed off the road. Now we can rejoice because, after all that, Team Rick finally has some heavy artillery!

5. Shiva Dies

After finding a weakened Ezekiel and Jerry, Carol was escorting the two Kingdom dwellers back home, but in order to do so they had to cross a contaminated swamp area. Walkers look pretty bad on any day of the week, but the ones in the swamp had been infected by the fumes and they were looking the worse for wear. Ezekiel was having a bit of an identity crisis at this stage but he offered to stay behind and fight the dead off so that Carol and Jerry could get to safety.

However, in a moment that would make Game Of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons proud, Shiva arrived on the scene just in the nick of time to save her master. Fighting off the horrid creatures, Shiva proved her loyalty and bought the Kingdom folks enough time to escape. Unfortunately the tiger was killed, and eventually eaten, by the hideous zombies. We're not crying, you're crying!

And that's just a few moments that the latest episode had to offer. All in all, it was another pretty exciting episode of and the strong focus on Carol made it one of the best episodes of the drama we've had in a while. With the battle getting tougher for our protagonists, Rick and his team will likely continue to pull out all the stops in their efforts to defeat Negan and the Saviors — let's just hope they manage to do so before there are any more deaths!

The Walking Dead airs Sundays on at 9/8c AMC.
