Last Friday marked one of the most exciting events on the calendar for anyone with a passion for terror – the Eyegore Awards! The Awards are normally small events that allow LA's horror community to get down and party, while also recognizing significant talent in the genre by giving them small statuettes in the shape of demons - the Oscars, it ain't - and in the best possible way! The 2013 Eyegore Awards were held at Universal Studios in California and it was a great night for fans of zombie smash hit The Walking Dead, with the show winning not one, but two prizes at the event.

, who works as The Walking Dead's co-executive producer and special effects supervisor, was given an award for his achievement in horror and sci-fi entertainment.

Meanwhile, (AKA Carol Peletier) accepted the Walking Dead's award on behalf of the ensemble. Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, , were also recognized by the award and AMC tweeted the following picture, which shows Melissa McBride standing next to Ozzy Osbourne and Bruce Campbell. "It ain't coming from anybody else, so I'll take it. My last award was for Little League," said Bruce Campbell. "I will hold down the finest papers on my desk with this."
