The Captain America: The Winter Soldier script has been given a big thumbs up by the man responsible for penning the comic book on which the movie is based. Ed Brubaker joined Marvel Comics in late 2004 and was responsible for resurrecting Bucky as the Winter Soldier and it seems that the big-screen adaptation of his creation is going to blow us all away:

Talking to USA Today, Brubaker revealed:

I read the script and I was really blown away by it. The tone of it and the Bucky stuff is so perfect and the way I'd want it to be, I was so thrilled to see that. But to me the biggest thing, too, is it's the first time Marvel has put out a movie where there's a specific book the title of the movie relates to.

I think The Winter Soldier has the potential to be the crowning achievement of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fact that the man responsible for creating the character is a fan can only be a good thing.

Unless of course he's being paid by Marvel Studios to say that. In which case, forget about what I just said.

What do you guys think? Will The Winter Soldier be great? Sound off in the comments below.
