So, Marvel fans are almost unanimously loving up the recent trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Harley Davidson were nice enough to offer Comicbook.com some sweet deets about Cap's new ride.
Captain America's Harley-Davidson Street™ 750 has a Revolution X™ powertrain, which seems an appropriately grandiose name for a superhero type. Cap rides a Dark Custom™ motorcycle perfect for urban terrain. Harley-Davidson spokesperson Dino Bernacchi said:
Captain America – since his first introduction in 1941 – has always been associated with riding a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. Now, in Marvel’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, he’ll ride a Harley® motorcycle built for the urban environment.
Steve Rogers' initial choice for Cap's wheels was a Harley-Davidson® Breakout® motorcycle, so both bikes will appear in The Winter Soldier. Bernacchi continued:
Captain America truly embodies the iconic, heroic, and American aspects of the Harley-Davidson brand. Both Captain America and our motorcycles are great symbols of freedom. We can’t wait for fans to see this movie and what Harley-Davidson has planned with Marvel moving forward. There are exciting things to come with our partnership.
Finally, a movie product endorsement we can get behind...Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theatres April 4, 2014.
