It wasn't hard to predict that Universal would greenlight a sequel to this year's massively successful home invasion horror flick The Purge. The movie was made for next to nothing (in Hollywood terms) and payed off majorly for the studio. Now it appears Universal has found its male lead for The Purge: Anarchy.

According to Deadline, (who will be appearing as Crossbones in Marvel's upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier) has landed the gig. Plot details are currently being kept under wraps. will return to write and direct.

I actually like Grillo quite a bit, and I find he shares a particular similarity with (who played the first film's protagonist). Both of these guys are working class actors, the guys who don't always get the huge paychecks or the garner the most widespread notoriety, but who execute and produce solid to great performances consistently. I loved Grillo in The Grey and End of Watch. I think he'll be a more-than-suitable lead for this franchise entry.

What do you guys think?
