I'm a good bowler, and a good man.

NBC seem confident about Dracula, and I'm not surprised. Hannibal's been a hit, and Dracula's name recognition is sky-high (especially with that film adaptation on the go-go-go)

Now, with its fall premiere date approaching quicker than a bloody bite to the neck from said vamp-man, NBC have dropped this music video trailer at Comic-Con. Check it out below:

So, it sure looks juicy, right? And gory too! is well-cast, he's had the brooding, dark albeit charming thing locked up ever since his breakthrough in Bend It Like Beckham (ironically, where he played a rather wet, lovestruck football coach...how things change!)

It looks highly eroticized, similar to his previous project The Tudors in bringing a classic tale to the modern day with a combo of aesthetically-pleasing actors, high production values and SEX SEX SEX. Also, Depeche Mode, 'Soothe My Soul'. GREAT song choice!

So, I'm sure it will be a success, although maybe Rhys Meyers could really ascend to A-list Hollywood status if he tried something a tad different.

Here's NBC's synopsis for the show, due to debut on October 25, 2013 (so late!):

It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night - useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan... until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

How does everyone feel about NBC's big fall bet? Is Dracula a hit? Or could this be a costly flop?
