Gather 'round, kids, for more interesting casting rumors for the highly anticipated new Terminator Genisys movie, the fifth of its name.
Once again, the folks over at Schmoes Know broke the news: there is a new frontrunner in the race to land the role of Kyle Reese: none other than , of Friday Night Lights, Eragon and Troy fame.
The 29-year-old Minnesotan isn't the only one shortlisted for the part: according to THR, both and are also vying to portray a new incarnation of K. Reese (John Connor's father) on screen.
Terminator is starting to gear up, with a tight deadline in sight and director (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) wasting zero time in prepping everything in order to start shooting as soon as possible. While still in its casting stages, Terminator 5 is set to begin filming in January.
We have had a steady gush of information in the past few weeks concerning the possible casting of other characters of the franchise, such as John Connor and Sarah Connor. And the ultimate star of the movie, of course, is a certain ex-governor of California who shall remain nameless for the nonce.
