HBO's latest drama/epic, Westworld, contains some of their best work to date. From the distribution company that brings us Veep and Game of Thrones, you would almost expect a fantastic show from them each time, and Westworld is no exception. With a fantastic cast utilized to their max along with posing mind-numbingly tough questions, Westworld knows how to hold an audience.
Thankfully, and somewhat obviously, Westworld has been renewed for Season 2, which is expected to come out late 2017 or early 2018 (I really hope it's not the latter). Some people online have been pretty annoyed with this long time to wait for another season, but you must understand how big Westworld really is, you can't rush into such a big project.
Every episode of Westworld left us with dozens of questions and some episodes posed more questions then they answered. With Season 1 now done, we still have questions we need answered, in addition to things we'd love to see in the next season.
** Full Spoilers Ahead **
1. Dr. Ford Still Being Alive
Dr. Ford is arguably the best character in Westworld and killing him off is a brave move on HBO's part, but what if he's not actually dead? There are two possibilities for him being alive, the first is that he immortalized himself by placing his consciousness in one of the hosts so he can live forever. The other possibility is that the person who was killed in the finale was a host, a clone of Dr. Ford to be used as a decoy. Either way, I'd love to see Dr. Ford return for the final season!
2. A New World
The image you're seeing above may be familiar because it was featured in the season finale of Westworld and I'm sure you had a similar reaction to mine when you saw it — intense excitement. As much as I love the world of Westworld, I do think it would be super exciting to see another themed world, like the one above (which suggests samurais).
I wouldn't expect to see this is Season 2 after the events that unfolded in the finale. I'm guessing they were expecting to ship out this storyline soon, but after the massacre in the finale, this may be postponed. However, I'm optimistic we may see more glimpses of this world in Season 2.
3. A View Of 'Outside'
The season finale of Westworld gave us a riveting journey of Maeve escaping the engineering chambers of #Westworld and on the train to the outside world, only for her consciousness to bring her right back in (presumably to find her daughter). We as viewers are in the perspective of the hosts and so we still haven't seen the "outside" yet and I feel this will be one of the biggest moments the show could offer us in Season 2. I'm not sure if it will be Maeve, Delores or Teddy, but I'm pretty sure we'll see one of the hosts enter the world and become the first host (that we know of) to exit Westworld.

4. More Backstory On Arnold
There's no denying that Arnold is one of the most intriguing characters on Westworld and I feel we still have lots to learn about the park's co-creator. Granted, our main source of Arnold information is gone (Dr. Ford), but I still feel we may learn more about him in Season 2, whether it's through Delores's memories or Bernard's code.
5. More Twists And Turns
Westworld is one of the most critically-acclaimed programs on TV right now, but one thing viewers found at fault is how predictable it was that the Man in Black was William. I disagree, because I feel that most of the people who knew this (myself included), read theory articles, which are potential spoilers to begin with. In saying that, I feel that Season 2 should have some more twists and turns, as the curve-balls that Season 1 provided are some of the reasons why the show is as good as it is!
Westworld has so many intriguing characters that are waiting to be utilized. The writers for this show are masterful in creating wonderful storylines for characters that give them fascinating arcs. For Season 2, I'd love to find out some more about some characters, like the interesting and complex Charlotte Hale (played by Tessa Thompson) who looks like she has a big plan for Westworld in Season 2.
6. The Return Of Elsie
This point may be an example of me being in denial about a character I love. At first glance, it may seem obvious that Elsie is dead and that's all there is too it. But then again, this is Westworld we're talking about, so Elsie still being alive isn't farfetched at all. Who knows, maybe she's still down in that basement or she could even be in the Westworld park itself! All I know is, I'd love to see Elsie return for Season 2.
(Spoilers: Turns out she's alive, at least according to the Discover Westworld website. Check out more Easter Eggs we found from the website here!)
7. More Dangerous Hosts
The Man in Black (a.k.a. William) and Dr. Ford may have had their differences, but one thing they both agreed on is the idea that the hosts should pose more of a threat to the guests, which would make for a more exhilarating experience at Westworld. The season finale gave us a glimpse at what their scary potential is and seeing this expanded on in Season 2 would be absolutely fantastic. I'm sure the hosts are aching to get back at the guests that treated them so badly.
I know Westworld Season 2 is quite awhile away, but there's no harm in some early anticipation, especially when the show left us with so many questions in the finale. Westworld might just have been the best first season of a show I've ever watched. I'd love to know what you guys think will happen in Season 2. Let me know in the comments!
