(WARNING: The following contains a handful of extremely mild possible plot SPOILERS for Fox's upcoming Logan. Proceed with whatever level of caution your heightened sense of spoiler-avoidance suggests to you is wise.)
Now, if you're a fan of old school #XMen comic books (and honestly, if you aren't, you definitely should be), then you're likely already getting pretty darned overexcited about the presence of a certain Donald Pierce in #Fox's upcoming #Logan. Pierce is, after all, one of the X-Men's most enduring and unpleasantly cinematic foes, with he and #Wolverine in particular having a long history of bloody, entirely reciprocal brutality. That consistency has, of course, been helped by Pierce's now almost entirely non-human body, the result of a series of evermore limb-removing battles.
As such, it's likely to come as good news to many that...
This New Logan Image Teases A Very Cyborg-y Donald Pierce
After all, while fundamental nastiness may be Pierce's most defining characteristic, it's certainly his cyborg nature that is the most memorable. Which, of course, makes it all the more reassuring to see the recently officially released image below, which seems to double down on the fact that Logan's on-screen Pierce will indeed be far more than human:
Now, sure, the image also seems to confirm that Boyd Holbrook's take on the villain will be somewhat more realistic than the more "out-there" take that the comic books have traditionally opted for...
...but with Pierce's core cruelty, callousness and (crucially) cyborg parts seemingly very much intact, there doesn't appear to be too much to worry about. After all, this is very much the face of a man who would happily eviscerate Wolverine just for the fun of it, surely?
And what more can you ask for from an on-screen Donald Pierce? Other than a deadly mechanical hand, of course.
Still want more Logan-related awesomeness, though? Never fear, we've got you covered right here.
