(WARNING: The following may contain giant, plot-teasing SPOILERS for the upcoming Wolverine solo movie, Logan...or it may be entirely made up. Proceed with whatever level of caution your heightened senses of smell, hearing and spoiler-avoidance suggest is wise.)

Now, the internet has long specialized in spoiling the plots of movies, whether through the release of giant plot reveals via conventional means, the leaking of official footage, or even just ornery folks in the comments section intentionally revealing twist endings to screw with people. With a ready supply of anonymity and a reach that extends across the globe, it's pretty much the perfect place to reveal major plot points that we sort-of-but-not-really want to know. And, as such, it's not real surprise that...

A Shiny New Synopsis For Logan Has Seemingly Been Leaked

And, if it turns out to be for real, then it's jam-packed full of spoilers. There's a reason to be somewhat wary on that front, though, with the following synopsis having apparently originated not from an official Fox source, but from an anonymous addition to IMDb. Which, with anyone with an IMDb Pro account being able to upload a synopsis onto the site, makes the whole thing a little bit suspicious.

That being said, however, the following synopsis sure does sound plausible, and with the trailer now here, it's certainly possible that someone at Fox simply got a little overzealous with their synopsis uploading. You can decide for yourself, though, as the synopsis can be found just below...

"Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine."

Could That Synopsis Actually Be For Real, Though?

Well, ultimately, yes, yes it could. Sure, it's a little on the nose, but with the majority of its reveals having either been hinted at (the presence of Nathaniel "Mr. Sinister" Essex, the arrival of Laura "X-23" Kinney in the X-Franchise) or straight-up revealed (Logan and Xavier's aging, the loss of the X-Men) over the past few months, it's certainly plausible. What's more, if you've already taken a look at the shiny new teaser trailer for Logan, then you likely have a much stronger sense of the synopsis above's accuracy (or, just maybe, inaccuracy). If not, don't worry, you can check it out just below!

Either way, though, Logan is going to be hitting theaters on March 3, 2017, so we won't have to wait too long to find answers to the thousand or so other questions we may or may not have been compiling for the past year.

Still want more on Logan, and his cinematic adventures, though? Never fear, we've got you covered right here. Plus, you can check out the first official trailer for Logan just below:
