The newest trailer drop of Thor: Ragnarok had the crowd at San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H white-knuckling their chairs. We got another look at Thor and the Hulk smashing each other in front of the Grandmaster, but learned — in the final shot — they'll be fighting together against the fiery demon Surtur.

Although the Funko Pop may have given us a cute little glimpse of Surtur, the trailer showed us the giant beast in all his epic evilness. And now there's some casting news!

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi provided the the motion capture sequences for Surtur — however, in an interview after the panel in Hall H at with, Waititi revealed the voice of the demon:

"I did a little of the mo-cap stuff for Surtur, body wise, but then we have Clancy Brown doing the voice of Surtur."

That's right, , the voice of Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob Squarepants, is lending his vocal chops to bring Surtur to life.

Aside from his voiceover work, Clancy Brown is best known for roles in Highlander, The Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers. And he's definitely familiar with the superhero genre. In the 1996 The Incredible Hulk cartoon series, he was the voice of Sasquatch. He also voiced Rhino and Ox in the The Spectacular Spider-Man series. Finally, you can hear him voice Mr. Sinister on Wolverine and the X-Men.

If you are a DC fan, Brown has you covered as well. He played Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and The Batman. He also voiced Parallax in the live-action Green Lantern film, King Faraday in the Young Justice cartoon series, and General Zartok in Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

In short, Clancy Brown has voiced some of comics' nastiest villains, which gives him the clout to give life to Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok. We can't wait!

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
