Having teased us with a mockumentary 'Vacation Teaser Trailer' back in August, showing us exactly what Thor and Bruce Banner were up to during Captain America: Civil War (Spoilers — not much), we've been eagerly awaiting the official Thor: Ragnarok trailer. Finally, our day has come.

The trailer which just dropped is everything we wanted it to be and more. Set for release in IMAX cinemas on 3 November 2017, it looks likely that this, the third installment in the Thor franchise, may be the darkest and most exciting of the trilogy to date.

Don't Believe Me? Check Out The Trailer For Yourself:

Thor blimey! If that didn't knock your Marvel socks off, I don't know what will. With returning actors Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Cate Blanchett as well as some new faces including Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum and Karl Urban, Thor:Ragnarok boasts an intimidatingly talented cast.

With confirmation that Mark Ruffalo will also be making an appearance as The Hulk in Thor:Ragnorok, many have speculated that Marvel has picked up the Planet Hulk story in which Hulk is sent off to a brutal planet and forced to battle in a gladiatorial arena, and embedded it within the Ragnorok narrative — a theory which has been seemingly confirmed by the trailer.

As producer Kevin Feige and the trailer have confirmed, Thor:Ragnorok will be taking place primarily in the cosmos which makes a significant departure from the previous Thor films which took place mostly on Earth. With the Ragnarök actually being the prophesied apocalypse of Nordic mythology in which Odin, Thor and Loki battle amid various natural disasters as the world ends, we can see that Thor: Ragnorok has taken these apocalyptic themes to heart, and it looks like it's gonna be Hella' good.

Will Thor survive the Ragnarok?
