So, in case you missed the SPOILER! announcement, I reiterate, don't read if you don't want spoilers.
, director of the second Norse God / Alien Race epic Thor: The Dark World, has fanned the flames of rumor. Namely, Thor 2 will come with a whole ass-whooping of deaths.
In a chat with Empire Online at the D23 expo, Taylor jovially admitted to be 'the grim reaper', merrily picking off fan favorites:
I realized recently that I am the grim reaper. People hate me because I killed Ned Stark on [Game of Thrones]. But I also killed Caesar in Rome, Wild Bill Hickock in Deadwood and Christopher in The Sopranos.
I just get called in to murder people’s favorite characters, so I’m surprised Thor survived this one. There are a few people who don’t make it out alive here. There could be some surprises!
So nothing concrete to be had, but enough to cause some proper agitation to Marvel lovers. Thor: The Dark World stuntman Mark Lawden already set tongues wagging when he revealed a death that is supposed to happen in the second Thor outing:
Thor’s mother gets killed. So it becomes like a vengeance thing.
The cheeky daredevil kept quiet about other developments: saying that the film's developers were,
[The Thor 2 developers are] keeping very tight-lipped about what actually happens with Loki, you don’t know whether he redeems himself or he’s still the bad egg.
Hmmm, so we're not given much more to chew on from Taylor. Can you imagine how sweet it is going around knowing what he knows, knowing that millions of Thor fans are desperate to know? He'd just better keep his paws off Thor himself (), as Thor: Ragnarok is already in the pipeline!
Until November, all we can really do is speculate, to varying degrees of wildness.
