The combination of a high school setting and a horror-genre plot is nothing new. The teenage drama of clique society and hormonal raging seems particularly well-suited for slasher films, vampire flicks, and demonic/supernatural horror movies, for whatever reason. This season sees the advent of a new movie ready to exploit all the tropes of the genre and un-wholesomely entertain while creeping you out: 's remake of All Cheerleaders Die.

The premise of this pulpy film, starring , , Tom Williamson and Brooke Butler, seems fun enough:

When tragedy rocks Blackfoot High, rebellious outsider Mäddy Killian shocks the student body by joining the cheerleading squad. This decision drives a rift between Mäddy and her ex-girlfriend Leena Miller - a loner who claims to practice the dark arts. After a confrontation with the football team, Mäddy and her new cheerleader friends are sent on a supernatural roller coaster ride which leaves a path of destruction none of them may be able to escape.

And if you're not swayed by the official synopsis, here's the trailer to whet your appetite:

Anyways, the point of this article actually is to present to you the new poster for the movie. In it, we see what one would expect from a movie with this title: hot cheerleaders, a football helmet stained with blood and the movie's amusing tagline, 'Revenge is a bitch.' Have a look at it for yourselves:

What do you think? Would you go the theater to watch this new horror-comedy, or would you rather wait for a home release? Does the non-innovative plot (it's a remake by the same guy who directed the 2001 original of the same name) appeal to you, or are you ready to dismiss it beforehand? Is it considered a spoiler if the title of the movie already gives away the fact that all the cheerleader characters ultimately die?

All Cheerleaders Die hits theaters at some (as of yet unspecified) point in the spring of 2014.
