If you have followed any news about Relativity's new reboot of The Crow as closely as I have, the most recent casting news should interest you: How do you feel about stepping into the role made immortal by ? Because, according to Bloody-Disgusting, that's the latest news out of Rumorville. Take it with a grain of salt, but those guys have been on top of their game when it comes to The Crow developments, so this may not be simple PR fluff.

McAvoy is said to be contemplating the role of Eric Draven, a young man who is "brutally murdered [and] comes back to life as an undead avenger of his and his fiancée’s murder."

If you're like me, your first reaction was, "WTF?" then, "Hmm..." as the intrigue grew and then finally, "You know, I kind of...I think I kind of love this." McAvoy has the range and depth as an actor to create an Eric Draven that is poignant and complex, and he's shown he has the chops to pull off more badass roles, both as Professor Xavier in X-Men: First Class and as Wesley Gibson in Wanted (another graphic novel adaptation, I might add).

No word yet on whether or not McAvoy's shooting schedule for X-Men: Days Of Future Past will keep him from taking the lead in The Crow, but I hope he can. Because, yeah...I kind of love this news.
