Tom Hardy is no stranger to ink. In fact, among his array of body art, the English actor boasts a Chinese dragon, London's skyline, his wife's name and a Buddha uncharacteristically clutching an AK-47. However, his next tattoo is one that the Oscar nominated actor isn't overly looking forward to.

It seems that being buddies with can also have its down sides. Previously appearing alongside the Oscar winner in Christopher Nolan's , the two talented friends once again linked up to work on the visually stunning, Alejandro González Iñárritu helmed . It was during this production that the two men made a wager, with Tom Hardy emerging the loser.

Speaking to Esquire, Hardy revealed that he and Leo made a wager that the loser had to get a tattoo of the winner's choosing. DiCaprio predicted that Hardy would get an Oscar nod for his performance in The Revenant. Hardy, perhaps wanting to remain modest, bet against himself and subsequently lost.

The loss meant that the actor can now look forward to getting the words "Leo knows everything" tatted on him.

"He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting: 'Leo knows everything.' Ha! I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly.'"

The 39-year-old Englishman is yet to get the tattoo, revealing that the main reason is because:

"I haven't got it yet, because it sucks."

Unfortunately, a bet is a bet and quite frankly I can't wait to see the results.

Have you ever lost a bet and had to do something ridiculous?
