Are you still yearning for that third Three Men and a Baby movie? Well, is ready to act in a sequel movie, he hasn't been asked just yet.
It's hard to believe the 1987 movie from grossed $167 million dollars on an $11 million dollar budget. The follow-up, Three Men and a Little Lady, managed to gross an impressive $71 million dollars in 1990.
Rumors of a third movie have been swirling for about 20 years now, but it sounds like Three Men and a Bride could become a reality in the near future. Writers were hired to pen a script over a year ago, and now Selleck (on the Talk via EW) is giving some insight on the project:
I heard it was [happening], so yes. I've talked to Ted [Danson] and I've talked to Steve [Guttenberg], and we'd love to get back together, if they've got a good idea. But It seemed to be real, and then it disappeared. So..If they're smart, they'll do it. But I don't want to rip it off, that movie was...the only movie I remember being number one at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. So many times they just make the deal with the actors and then they just say make the script by using the phone book, but we don't want to do that.
A Disney spokesperson also confirmed that the project is in development, but as yet is still in the early stages. The three actors are not exactly box-office stars these days, but I could see this type of movie doing very well if Disney plays its cards right and targets the right audience.
That baby is probably old enough to have had a baby of her own by now. Why not call it Three Men and a Half Grandbaby and make it about them babysiting the child of the little baby lady from the first two movies and throw in as the bad guy who tries to kidnap the kid? I mean, right? Or...reboot the whole thing and get three younger better looking dudes to play the three men. I'm thinking , and . Either way, these movies were my faves growing up. I still end up watching them every time they're on television, even though I've seen them 100 times, and I'll definitely be watching a sequel movie.
