Wax museums are a classic setting for a horror tale. There's the horror classic Wax Museum (1933) that was remade by Vincent Price in 1953, then the idea was remolded for the 21st Century, starring quite possibly the scariest actress of all: Paris Hilton.

Wax, by first-time feature director Victor Matellano, goes there again, but tries to bring the two ends of the spectrum together. How? Take the old-fashioned Vincent Price-style horror mix and dip it into the torture porn that gets butts into theater seats these days. Check it out:
