How do you follow up on the sublime and at times ridiculous spectacle that was the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony and the enduring image of the Queen and James Bond parachuting out of a helicopter? Well, for Brit director , the answer is: Trance.
Boyle's latest movie is a high-concept thriller about a heist gone wrong. It stars as an auction house worker who helps steal a valuable painting but then forgets where he stashed it. and then use there own special set of skills to encourage him to remember where he put it. One method involves breaking bones, the other doesn't. I definitely know which one I prefer.
A new trailer for the movie has recently come our way, so check it out:
I've been a big fan of Boyle ever since Shallow Grave and he's a director that always throws himself 100% into the genre that he's working in. This movie looks like it's going to be a real mind-bender, incorporating similar themes to 's Inception but with a distinctly British feel to it. Plus anything that stars Vincent Cassel is always worth a watch.
Trance lands in theaters April 5th. Will you be checking it out?
