Here's a history lesson for some of you. Instead of going to high school, action star was too busy appearing in Calvin Klein underwear ads and being a rap music bad boy. In fact, he dropped out in the ninth grade in order to attend to the school of life.

But, after taking classes online for a year, the Pain & Gain and upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction leading man has finally earned his high school diploma. He told the Huffington Post:

I was fortunate to find out I could attend high school online. For almost a year, I’ve been taking classes and studying any chance I could get – on the set, traveling for work and at home. It has been both humbling and challenging, but I’m happy to report that I am officially a high school graduate, having received my diploma this summer.

As for the future? We see a director-in-the-making, as Marky Mark tells People:

I would love to go to USC and study film. I don’t want to become a veterinarian or anything, [I want to study] things that further my career and broaden my horizon.

You see, it's never too late to tie up loose ends. Maybe we'll see Wahlberg take on a high school drama sometime soon. Until then, we'll just have to settle for Transformers: Age of Extinction, coming next year.
