If you haven't yet seen the last season of True Blood, please don't read on...

Still with me? Awesomewickedcool.

I think we all can agree that the steamy kiss shared by Pam and her progeny Tara, was A Good Thing, for the following reasons:

(a) Lesbians don't get a lot of airtime - at least, not in a non-porno way. So watching a emotionally coherent lesbian relationship develop on screen felt like a step in the right direction.

(b) To keep us guessing (in the book the series is based on, The Southern Vampire Mysteries, Tara's a heterosexual mother of twins).

(c) Very simply, because Pam and Tara are pretty darn cute together, apart from the whole vampire mother-"daughter" thing, which is a little creepy on closer scrutiny.

Recently the wonderful Vulture magazine interviewed (Pam) on all things True Blood and she revealed something surprising! That there was a sex scene between the cute couple that we never saw onscreen...whut??

The interviewer says she could swear the couple mentioned they'd had sex during one dialogue and Bauer reveals:

"There have been many different revisions and different scripts, and there was a time where there was a version of a script where we did see more of that. But now, I'm not exactly sure when and where the writers are referring to. When would they have had time to do this? Before storming the Authority? I remember when I said, "We drank a bitch together, that doesn't make us Oprah and Gayle," so was it then? I don't think so, because that first kiss felt like a first kiss, back in episode twelve of last season."

After reflecting some more, Bauer pinpoints the moment she thinks they got down and dirty:

"So I'm imagining it was on the beach in the first episode of this season. That's a possibility. What I'm imagining is that it was fairly tender and intimate, because that moment on the beach is a vulnerable moment that Pam allows to happen, and they're really bonding."

Bauer then lets her imagination roam a little...:

"Pam can be like a turtle and pull back into her shell, so I think this was a real first for Pam, to be vulnerable and have another human being — well, another being, another entity, comfort her. She's only had that with Eric."

Woohoo! Well, I'm a little sad that viewers weren't privy to a tastefully done sex scene between turtle Pam and her paramour, but hey, at least they've Done It. Great music about lady lovin' o'clock to celebrate? Yes!

Are you sad that they didn't show this onscreen? And are they the cutest couple on True Blood so far? Let me know your thoughts below!
