Actor Jeremy Lindholm, who recently appeared in Showtime's revival of Twin Peaks, has been arrested for attempted second degree murder after allegedly beating a woman with a baseball bat.
A press release from the Spokane Washington police department details how officers arrived at the scene to see Lindholm assaulting the woman with the bat in hand. Upon the officers' arrival, Lindholm fled the scene. The actor stopped running when confronted by police officers in the nearby alley and was then taken into custody. The police interviewed the victim and witnesses at the scene, which confirmed that the incident was "domestic violence related."
Lindholm is now facing multiple charges, including attempted second degree murder and second degree assault. In addition, he is also facing charges for assaulting the victim’s friend. According to TMZ, who first reported the news, The 41-year-old actor is now being held at the Spokane County Jail on $100k bond. The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Lindholm was recently on #TV screens in an episode of Twin Peaks: The Return. Appearing in Episode 6, Lindholm played Mickey, a resident of the town's trailer park that hitched a ride with Carl (the owner of the trailer park) into town. Although Lindholm's character is a Twin Peaks newbie, the Carl character initially appeared in the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. The 18 episode revival of the classic David Lynch series is nearing the end of its run and is set to conclude with a two hour finale on September 3rd. It is currently unknown if Lindholm's character will appear in future episodes.
