Recently new casting details in regards to 2019's Glass movie were revealed. For those who don't know, Glass is the planned sequel to the recent hit thriller, Split. Interestingly, Glass will also double as a continuation of Unbreakable, where most of that film's former cast will return to join the film's stars, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis.

According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, Charlayne Woodard and Spencer Treat Clark are returning to reprise their roles from . Woodard is coming back to portray Mrs. Price, mother to Elijah Price a.k.a. Mr. Glass, while Clark is returning to play Joseph Dunn. No details on their character roles have been released yet but it's fairly safe to assume they're going to reprise their original characters while simultaneously factoring into the main events involving David Dunn's pursuit of The Horde, the villain of Split that Dunn saw revealed in a news report at the end of the film. In terms of how they'll affect the narrative moving forward, that is still up for debate, but here are the most plausible scenarios for their return.

Charlayne Woodard as Mrs. Price

While Woodard's character in Unbreakable only held a minimal role in the story, she's probably going to have a more pivotal role in Glass. Since her son was accused of some very heinous crimes, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see her being interviewed on the matter. Of course, we should be prepared for Mrs. Price to give us an unwieldy response if she turns out to be deeply sympathetic to her son, despite the blatant fact that he is unwell.

After Price's mother showed quite a bit of support for her son in Unbreakable, it'll be interesting to see her reaction to those events. There's no way to tell how she would react, but she may have disowned Elijah for the crimes he was convicted of, if it was such an egregious offense that even she couldn't forgive. Then again, her emphasis on Elijah being "special" could have seen her overlook the "mistakes" he made to continue supporting him from the outside. If that's the case, Mrs. Price could be utilized unknowingly by her son, as a proxy for his maligned plans.

Spencer Treat Clark as Joseph Dunn

In addition to Woodard, Clark is also returning to reprise his role as David Dunn's son, Joseph. He played a pivotal role in Unbreakable, forcing his father to truly accept the fact that his power made him a superhero. He even resorted to pulling a gun on his father to show him he was a hero, which maybe wasn't the best idea in the world, but it was done to push his father into the role he was destined for. Had it not been for Joseph's relentlessness, David might've never became the hero he did.

Now it looks like he'll need Joseph to push him back into the role of hero once again, if the careless reaction he had to the pursuit of The Horde is any indication of his intent to find him.

Theories aside, both Clark and Woodard are bound to have intriguing roles in Glass. Their association with the film's main stars will obviously see them factor into the fight between David Dunn and The Horde. The question is, what role will they play in the ongoing conflict?
