If we've learned one thing from the Underworld franchise, it's that vampires and werewolves really don't like each other. For 13 years, the action-horror series has brought us some truly epic battles between these fearsome fanged foes, and the upcoming promises another thrilling confrontation in their never-ending war.

Fans already got a look at the movie thanks to a teaser trailer released back in September, and while it was pretty sweet the teaser included a bunch of footage from the previous movies. Thankfully, a new trailer released during the film's New York Comic Con 2016 panel has provided a proper look at some new footage.

Check out the latest Underworld: Blood Wars trailer below:

Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene, an immortal vampire warrior thrust into the center of the battle between her blood-sucking compatriots and the lycans (you know, the fancy name for werewolves). But special properties in her blood have provided Selene with some unique abilities, and new lycan leader Marius (Tobias Menzies) wants to find out what they can do.

Blood Wars will find Marius hunting down Selene and her missing daughter in hopes of using their special blood to make the lycans even more powerful. Thankfully, she'll have some help from returning vampire allies David (Theo James) and Thomas (Charles Dance). It even looks like Selene will undergo a transformation that will make her even more powerful.

We didn't expect Underworld: Blood Wars to have such a literal title — it's following a war for Selene's blood — but hey, as long as we get more of the franchise's trademark blend of horror and action we won't complain. If you're a fan of the Underworld series, you'll definitely want to check this one out.

Underworld: Blood Wars hits theaters on January 6, 2017.
