This week's episode of #TheWalkingDead saw quite a few key characters getting themselves in to a pickle. Carl's being subjected to some awkward bonding time with Uncle Negan, Jesus is likely prancing across the rooftop of The Sanctuary, and Olivia has unexpectedly found herself the object of Negan's affections.
Michonne, on the other hand, has gone on a rogue mission to enact some swift justice to Negan, katana-style. She even went to the trouble of constructing a wall of walkers the likes of which would impress even Donald Trump's best architects.
As pointed out by Entertainment Weekly, the tune Michonne was whistling while she built her zombie barricade was the same one favored by The Wire's Omar Little:
Omar would regularly stick-up drug dealers, and as we saw in Sing Me A Song, Michonne clearly had the same methods of confrontation in mind when she accosted the redheaded Savior.

So she laid the trap, carjacked a Savior and established that she's the one in charge. But what now? Michonne is definitely not following the comics in the case of this renegade mission, so there's no clear outcome of what may happen. Let's take a look at some of the possibilities:
1. Michonne: Ninja Assassin
Michonne didn't spend hours on top of that hot car roof practicing her sniper skills for nothing. Rick's group may be terrified of the repercussions of an attempt on Negan's life, but Michonne actually has the sense to see that the Saviors are probably nothing without their cocky leader; kind of like the Mangalores in The Fifth Element:
Michonne doesn't have her rifle anymore, but she's never been one to fancy firearms. After blasting her way into The Sanctuary, Michonne's going to butcher her way to Negan and show him what kind of sword a ninja really uses — considering the Here's Negan miniseries clearly indicated he had no idea.
2. Daryl Dixon Rescue Mission
It's possible that the note and key slipped into Daryl's cell was Michonne's doing. However, it's hard to imagine how she went from having a Savior escort her through the front gates of The Sanctuary to slipping in and stealing the cell door key undetected.
Semantics aside, it's not exactly Michonne's style either. She's far more likely to slice her way through any number of guards to bust Daryl out in a blaze of glory.
Nevertheless, it's likely that with Michonne headed to The Sanctuary and Daryl about to get a real taste of freedom, the two are definitely going to run into each other and team up. Unless...
3. It's A Trap!
How do we even know Michonne is being taken to The Sanctuary? Having never been there before, she actually has no idea what the place looks like. It's a known fact that the Saviors have multiple outposts, as confirmed by the Oceanside group. Michonne's hostage could easily take her to one of those, foiling her plan to find Negan and leaving her imprisoned.
In fact, Michonne might even get taken to where Heath has been taken. Will we see the meaning of the card Tara found? Don't leave us hanging on the 'PPP', Nicotero!
4. Polygamist Liberation
Sherry and her sister-wives seem to be living a pretty plush life, but we all know there's more to being Negan's bride than drinking aged spirits and looking pretty in an LBD. No matter how scared they are to leave, these women definitely want out.
Enter Michonne. The interior of The Sanctuary is a bit of a labyrinth, and it's likely that she'll stumble across the ladies and rescue them. Perhaps she'll ditch widower Rick and infiltrate the sewing circle of oppression, taking Negan down with the power of seduction.
Better yet, Michonne delivers a rousing speech to empower them to enact some real vengeance on their communal husband. Warm up that iron, Dwight!
5. Michonne Buys Herself A Ticket To The Gun Show
Nobody takes Michonne's rifle and gets away with it! We all saw that look of contempt when Rick cheerily handed over the last gun they had, which also happened to be Michonne's current murder instrument of choice. Looks like someone's sleeping on the couch from now on.
Michonne's attempt to find Negan isn't necessarily an attempt to kill him. Why? Because where there's a Negan, there's guns. Michonne can stealth her way into the armoury, stash as many weapons as she can into her bag, and haul ass back to Alexandria. Now they're primed for war against The Saviors.
6. Christ Co-Op Mission
The inevitable marriage of Jesus' kung fu skills and Michonne's katana expertise is the martial arts movie tribute we've been waiting for all season. Both have proven themselves worthy adversaries even without the aid of guns, which made them equally silent killers. Are we about to see the start of a beautiful friendship born from a righteous slaughter fest? Let's hope so!
What do you think Michonne's plan might be?
