Sunday night's episode of The Walking Dead, "Infected", ramped up the action, gore and body count as the disease, and then the undead, swept through the prison, leaving a pile of corpses in its wake. And you know what's good about a massive body count? Lots of gloriously gruesome gifs of the bloody carnage. Yep, it's that time of the week again folks where we take a look at the Top 3 Deaths of the Week.
Don't fence me in
Props to The Walking Dead FX and makeup department who keep coming up with ingenious (and gross) ways to kill a zombie. This weeks winner of "Most imaginative walker death" goes to the unlucky fellow who had his face crushed against, and then through, the prison fence. Poor guy just wanted to get in and have a stroll through Rick's vegetable garden and maybe nibble on a couple of kids, but instead had his day ruined when his face got up close and personal with a metal fence.
He's probably thinking to himself that he should've stayed in bed that day...
Don't be a swine!
Just when you think you've become desensitized to all the mindless killings and brutal deaths on The Walking Dead, they go ahead and slay some piglets and guaranteeing to make you think twice about that pork sandwich at lunchtime. Thanks Walking Dead, thanks a lot.
Reason for Rick's emotional breakdown? Realizing that bacon comes from pigs 5 seconds after feeding them to undead horde. Rick really likes bacon. Probably.
Things we lost in the fire
As soon as I saw Tyreese and Karen cuddling up and being all lovey dovey, I knew the writing was on the wall for one of them. And considering that Karen is the newest newcomer, it was pretty obvious that she wasn't going to be long for this world (Today's tip: If you want to survive on The Walking Dead, don't talk, don't fall in love and definitely don't be happy!)
That she was disposed of away from camera and her body incinerated was a real shock. God help whoever's responsible when Tyreese gets hold of them.
That's all for this week macabre recap of The Walking Dead. Join me next week for more sickening sights and disgusting deaths. In the meantime, use the comment section below to talk about all things zombie, or hit me up on Twitter for some more undead debate.
