Season 7's third episode of #TheWalkingDead, "The Cell," continued to build upon Negan's reputation as the most irritating person to ever walk in The Walking Dead. Among his revolting tuts, that weird kissy thing he does with his lips, and many other quirky tics that make you want to stab his eyes out with a rusty spoon, Negan also said something semi-significant to Daryl.
The moment comes after Negan fakes out a Lucille blow at around 01:58.

"You don't scare easy"
Negan is impressed that Daryl doesn't flinch at a blow, but did you notice that his comment is a direct reference to something that Daryl's brother, Merle, said a long time ago?
Four seasons ago, Merle was being a sell-out asshole, working for The Governor. In the seventh episode of TWD Season 3, "When the Dead Come Knocking," Merle tortures Glenn and threatens Maggie to extract information from him. Glenn doesn't crack, and Merle says to him:
"You don't scare easy, do you?"
It's a nice bit of symmetry, and even the episode numbers — S07E03 / S03E07 — fit nicely into this idea of time passing, characters changing, and Daryl continuing to be the good brother that Merle never was.
Did you notice that Negan's comment to Daryl perfectly echoed what Merle said to Glenn?
