Just days out from the return of The Walking Dead the excitement for the next eight episodes is palpable, and thanks to the reveal of the titles and synopses for the first five episodes it's about to reach a fever pitch.

Take a look below at all the titles and synopses, and also check out the theorizing about which episode might be about what:

Episode 9 — "Rock in the Road"

Rick is introduced to a new community.

Alright, this one is not so much a mystery thanks to the promos, but basically it seems like Rick and Co are going to head to the Kingdom to meet King Ezekiel and try to convince him to side with Alexandria in order to take down Negan. Fingers crossed the king agrees with Rick!

Episode 10 — "New Best Friends"

While searching for a missing Alexandrian, Rick and his group encounter a mysterious collective, its inhabitants unlike any they have come across.

While part of this synopsis remains a mystery (who is the missing Alexandrian!?), it looks as though we will meet a whole new community in Episode 10 — most likely the community that the mysterious "Boots" comes from.

Episode 11 — "Hostiles and Calamities"

An Alexandrian discovers they must navigate the mysterious, confusing and terrifying world within the Saviors' compound.

Following the release of the most recent promo for Season 7b, it seems a decent guess to say that Episode 11 will be a mainly Saviors-based episode and probably revolved around Eugene being put to work by Negan and his men.

Episode 12 — "Say Yes"

The group scavenges for supplies; back in Alexandria, someone must make a morally challenging decision.

Despite all the goings on it looks like scavenging for supplies is still one of the main dramas of being an apocalypse survivor, especially when you're still supposed to give up 50% of your haul to a vicious overlord! The Alexandria plot will also be very intriguing, over the past seven seasons there have been many moments which have morally challenged the team — can't wait to find out what happens here.

Episode 13 — "Bury Me Here"

Things do not go as planned when a group of Kingdommers delivers goods to the Saviors during a routine supply drop-off.

It looks like Episode 13 might be somewhat of a blood bath, given that a supply drop off with the Saviors going awry usually results in violence. While it's still three episodes before the season finale, Episode 13 could well be the episode which kicks the season into high gear before what is, hopefully, a dramatic finale.
