Negan might have taken two more members of Rick's group on #TheWalkingDead mid-season finale, but his reign of terror is coming to an end. Abraham and Glenn's deaths truly shook the group, but his unexpected execution of two more people was one step too far. And it looks like the residents of Alexandria aren't the only group with revenge on their minds.
Time To Die?
With Alexandria, The Kingdom and Hilltop finally coming together in an effort to unite against the Saviors, the question on everyone's mind is the identity of the lucky bastard who finally gets to give Negan a taste of his own medicine.
In the comics, the war against the Saviors results in Negan having his throat slit by Rick. However, he survives and is imprisoned in a makeshift prison cell at Alexandria for years — the same cell Michonne found Rick in at the end of the mid-season finale. But that doesn't necessarily mean that this is how it's going to play out in the show. After all, viewers may not feel very satisfied with anything less than a swift death for the man who horrifically scarred us all by executing Glenn and Abraham. Not to mention his actual death would make for a surprising change from the comics.
So with Negan's potential death looming, who's going to do the deed?
11. Rick And Michonne
Michonne set out on her own solo assassination mission, which turned out to be nothing less than a major letdown. Realising Negan's numbers were far too great for their group, let alone just her on her lonesome, she returned home feeling deflated — but not defeated.
Her inspiring words to Rick that they needed to come together to "find a way to beat them" signals some serious teamwork in store for this post-apocalyptic power couple. Rick and Michonne are both formidable adversaries, but they know they're going to have to work together on this one.
Couples constantly referring to themselves as "us" is usually pretty gross, but not when it's in reference to a righteous revenge mission. Couples who revenge mission together stay together! Not to mention Rick got his gun back; perhaps it won't be long before Michonne's reunited with her beloved rifle?

10. Rosita And Sasha
Sasha's relocation to Hilltop has given her a brief reprieve from the relentless seething glares of Rosita. In all fairness, Rosita's scowls are more than justified. When the threat of getting eaten by the undead is a normal part of your everyday life, the last thing you want to be worrying about is your neighbor stealing your man.
But for the first time since the beginning of Sasha and Abraham's scandalous affair, Rosita and Sasha are finally exchanging glances of the non-homicidal kind. Will the two finally accept their shared grief and work together to exact justice for their ginger-haired beau?
Eugene has always been the personification of the cowardly lion; He may have a heart of gold, but he really doesn't have much to offer in terms of courage. What he lacks in braun he more than makes up for with his brains, but now Eugene's smarts have gotten him into yet another spot of trouble. What Neagan does to Eugene at the Sanctuary will make or break him.
Will he crack from the pressure of life under Negan's dictatorship, or will he finally rise up and surprise us all with a display of valor? This could very well be his chance to make amends for the whole Humane Genome Project incident.
If looks could kill, Negan would have been dead before he even had the chance to adjust the salt levels of his passata. Aside from obviously not being a fan of licking the cooking spoon (it's called basic hygiene, Negan), Carl has had enough of being babysat. He should be out holding Enid's clammy hand whilst rollerskating through the walker-infested backroads of Georgia, not validating Negan's fantasy of being the cool, hip uncle.
Carl's breaking point? When Negan crossed the line by picking up Judith. Nobody messes with Carl's baby sister and gets away with it. NOBODY. Let's hope Carl's next Scarface moment is a little more successful than his last day trip to the Sanctuary.
If you thought Carl was an expert at murderous glares, then get a load of this guy. The image of his beloved Aaron all bloodied and beaten at the hands of Negan's henchmen has sparked something inside Eric: bloodlust. Have you ever seen someone look quite so livid in a dad shirt? We haven't seen much of what Eric has to offer before now — who knows what he's capable of!
Maggie has definitely adopted the attitude of a woman who is fed up with your sh*t (hand-clapping emojis optional). She's pregnant, she's powerful, and she means business. With the full support and pie-baking skills of Hilltop behind her, Maggie has become a force to be reckoned with. If anyone deserves a (literal) crack at Negan's skull, it's her. Justice for Glenn!
5. Carol And Morgan
With Morgan finally finding a home amongst kindred spirits at The Kingdom, and Carol giving up her violent ways for a simpler life in the world's ugliest-decorated graveyard cottage, these pacifist pals have long bid farewell to their former killer selves.
But don't start busting out those improvised cookie recipes just yet, Carol — there's a war that needs winning! The triumphant return of killer Carol might be just around the corner, and Morgan's Aikido staff is the perfect thing to complement Jesus' mad kung fu skills. This could be the start of something beautiful.
If there's one thing this show could use more of, it's giant CGI tigers. We're still yet to see Shiva at her most ferocious, and she'll surely want to protect her master in the impending war against the Saviors. There's no doubt she'd make quick work of turning Lucille to splinters. What could be more satisfying than watching a ferocious jungle cat rip into the worst villain this show's ever seen?
An assassin needs to be stealthy, and Jesus is undeniably the most sneaky individual in town — this guy definitely played his fair share of Assassin's Creed back in the day. If Jesus can sneak in and out of the Sanctuary undetected, there's no doubt he'd be able to pay an unexpected visit to Negan's pimped out abode in the dead of night. Maybe we'll finally get to see him wield a weapon!
2. Dwight And Sherry
Dwight may be Negan's right hand man, but it's definitely not his dream job — especially considering the amount of time he has to watch his boss flirting with his ex-wife, whom Negan totally stole. His anger towards Daryl is really just misplaced resentment for Negan, who's taken everything from him. Dwight has the advantage of being one of Negan's most trusted henchmen, and this position of trust can be exploited.
Speaking of being close to Negan, Sherry is in a particularly unique position. She can get closer to Negan than anyone else, possibly even sharing a bed with him. Their marriage might be far too damaged to repair now, but Dwight and Sherry are in a unique position to get justice for what was taken from them.
1. Daryl And Lucille 2.0
He's been trapped. He's been tricked. He's been tortured. Now, it's time for Daryl to show Negan how the Dixons get things done. His crossbow is still M.I.A., but he's got a new toy now: A metal pole! And boy, can that pole deal some damage. Looks like Lucille has some hot competition. Will we be seeing Negan and Lucille facing off against Daryl and his metal pole?
Who will get their chance to take down the Big Bad himself?
