Let me start by saying it's OK. It's OK to want the toy — ahem, I mean collectible pop culture sculpture.
Even though I'm 25, I can't deny it would be fun to have this highly detailed (and shiny) cut-away model of Firefly's Serenity. I mean, if I did own it, I'd totally just keep on the shelf to look at and totally not get it out when the house is empty and run around making whoosh and laser noises. Nope, totally not.
The model, made by QMX is 12-inches and to a scale of 1:250, meaning it can add quite a bit of detail from the show. Perhaps the best thing about this model is the ability to remove parts of the hull to show off the interior. Check out the images below.
Unfortunately, if you want to get your hands on this model there quite a few obstacles to overcome. Firstly, there are only going to be 2,000 made, which means you have to stick yourself on the waiting list pretty darn soon. Secondly, this thing will put you back a rather whooping $349, which y'know, is certainly within the 'ridiculous' extreme of the price spectrum.
What do you think? Want one? I mean, of course you do, but is $349 too much? let us know below.
