Six days until we see the "Time of the Doctor" Christmas special of Doctor Who. Six days until we say goodbye to Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor (or...is that the Twelfth now?) and say hello to Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth (or Thirteenth). Time travel is hard, you guys.

BBC has just released a new extended trailer for the episode, in which the Doctor must sacrifice everything he loves to save a town called Christmas from his worst enemies.

Cybermen, Daleks, AND Weeping Angels? Nope nope NOPE. Looks like is definitely set to go out with a bang, befitting his theatrical, over-the-top style. After two slightly, er, manic Doctors, it leaves us to wonder how will play his version of the Time Lord, especially after the life- and universe-changing events of "Day of the Doctor".

The Doctor Who "Time of the Doctor" Christmas special airs a 9pm EST/8pm CST on December 25th on BBC America.

Will you cry when Matt Smith leaves? Somehow I don't think it will be quite the soul-crusher it was when informed all us faithful Whovians he didn't want to go. But I'm sure I'll end up on a ball on the floor, sobbing my brains out as I usually do. Damn you, Moffat!
