A new pilot has been commissioned by ABC, and it is growing its cast.
The proposed series - Warriors - will center on the doctors and nurses at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who treat returning soldiers, and and have both signed up.
The series will look to add a thoughtful twist to the typical hospital show format by examining the plight of injured returning veterans.
The pilot has been scripted by Party of Five writer - whose 90's series suffered from poor ratings but was called by TV Guide "The Best Show You're Not Watching" and won a Golden Globe.
This series however, does perhaps sound somewhat formulaic. What do you think? Will it do justice to the issues it wants to tackle? Or will it end up being just another doctors and nurses drama, only this time decorated by sickly soldiers?
