When Techland released the zombie action-adventure video game Dead Island back in 2011, it was massively anticipated - at least in part - because of the sensational trailer which came with it. That trailer - a backwards animated piece of art which saw the harrowing effects of zombies invading paradise - caught the interest of movie producer (The Mummy, The Wolfman), who snapped up the film rights straight away.

Well, in case you're jonesing for more news on this project - of which there is a lack as about as severe as the impending zombiepocalypse - take a look at this live-action shot-for-shot remake of the original Dead Island trailer, and just see if it doesn't get you a little bit weepy!

What do you guys think - better than the original trailer? Is the trailer actually the best part of the game? Let me know what you think in the comments!
