Marvel Studios came right out of the gate in Phase 3 with Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange, with both of them being tremendous successes. has already announced the rest of their lineup for Phase 3, which is why we can start talking about all the amazing things we could see after Avengers: Infinity War in the best shared universe in existence on the silver screen. It's never too late to start speculating about what we'd like to see next and Marvel sure has a lot to offer fans.

1. Have A Huge Villain For Each New Phase

We've been waiting nearly 10 years to see battle Thanos, and this movie could suffer horrendously if that buildup isn't worth it. It is Marvel, so expect something epic and wickedly crazy. However, it's still hard rationalizing 10 years for one villain, no matter how much of a bada** is!

Therefore, in Phase 4, have one Big Bad that The Avengers must face-off against to cap off the end of the phase. Have that villain be promoted throughout individual movies, and post-credits scenes. I'm sure Thanos will leave a lasting impression, but the gap between is just way too long. Let's hope Fox and Disney can workout an agreement so we can see Kang the Conqueror fighting Earth's Mightiest. Or, Annihilus would be another great character if those two companies could come to a compromise. Either way, Marvel has a ton a great villains to use after Phase 3.

2. The Spider-Verse

It's been two years and I still can't believe that is back where he belongs — in the . With a lot of main characters moving on from Marvel after Infinity War, they kind of need help replacing them with characters people already like. Though, they did turn a talking raccoon into one of the biggest characters currently out in the market. Regardless, fans are clamoring to see the likes of Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales all join in on the fun.

The Spider-Verse was a huge Marvel event in 2014 where the Inheritors traveled through all the universes trying to feed on sSider-Totems to survive. All the spider-powered people teamed up and defeated Morlun and his family. It was a fun ride, albeit extremely confusing. I've already written an article on how they could achieve this — just cut down to size with Spider-Man (Miles and Peter), Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen and Silk (Kaine as long as he's not a clone) and you have a mini-version of the Spider-Verse.

I'm not sure if Sony didn't own the rights to these characters, but Marvel has the opportunity to introduce some fan-favorite characters in the MCU. With a couple of new additions, we could then see a ton of spider-powered characters in other movies helping out. This would make Phase 4 truly amazing with the introduction of Spider-Gwen, Miles and Spider-Woman.

3. We'll Finally Get To See Characters We've Been Dying To See

She-Hulk is a obvious choice to add to the MCU. Jennifer Walters would be perfect to replace the Hulk, plus she's best friends with Captain Marvel, which would add a tremendous amount of depth alongside being cousins with Bruce Banner.

Some people think Moon Knight would be perfect for Netflix, but he'd be a unique fit on the big screen. There are so many more characters and all things are possible in Phase 4.

4. More Characters = More Insane Team-Ups

Marvel is already delivering insane team-ups with Thor and Hulk in outer space battling in some gladiator-type arena. That sounds absolutely amazing! Most characters will not be a huge part of Phase 4, but that doesn't mean they're dead. Instead, the studio just wants to see if they can profit from other characters, while not paying out for the already-established ones. This could really help drive the creativity and give us some of the memorable scenes in comic book history.

A lot of people want to see Jane Foster as Thor (highly unlikely), and this could provide for great storytelling, teaming her up with the original Thor. Or, maybe we could have Sam or Richard (Nova) join The Avengers. When Phase 3 is complete, expect to be wowed by all the new characters.

5. Legacies

DC Universe: Rebirth has been doing extremely well because it is getting back to basics. Marvel could retire their oldest characters and have them pass on the mantle to someone else in Phase 4. This could be some of the most touching stuff ever in comic book history on the big screen. By creating this sense of legacy in the MCU this could help them theoretically survive as long as fans are buying tickets.

Marvel's MCU is the predominant force in the entertainment industry and that'll most likely not change for many years to come. All of the old heroes will still exists, but they just won't be the driving force anymore heading into Phase 4. Lastly, any fan who loves Marvel should be brimming with excitement with all the possible characters we could be seeing and the crazy team-ups between established characters. Marvel's Phase 4 could seriously be the greatest thing to ever come out of Marvel — and that's really saying something!

Do you think Phase 4 will be greater than Phase 3 in Marvel's MCU?
